BNN arrests a distributor of 800 Vape containing drugs in Banyuasin, South Sumatra

JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) arrested a dealer of 800 electric cigarettes (vapes) containing drugs in Banyuasin Regency.

"We will release it in the near future, the supplier of 800 vape containing drugs sent from Pekanbaru to Palembang, we were arrested in Banyuasin yesterday," said the Head of the South Sumatra BNNP, Brigjen Pol Hisar Siallagan in Palembang, Friday, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the supplier targeted night entertainment venues in Palembang City to make the market for the circulation of the goods.

The vape has a selling value of four to seven million rupiah in unit price.

He added that the vape contained etomidate, which was determined to contain a Class II drug under the Ministry of Health Regulation of 2025.

"Now we can arrest those related to the use of vape based on the narcotics law," he said.

Although not all Vape is said to contain drugs, he appealed to residents if they find someone offering vape at a high price, it should be suspected and reported to the BNN.
