Corruption of the Mataram NTB DPRD Pokir Fund, the Kejari has examined 50 witnesses

Mataram - The Mataram District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), examined dozens of witnesses in the case of alleged corruption in the distribution of social assistance with a budget sourced from the Mataram DPRD's main budget (pokir).

"Around 50 witnesses have been examined by us," said Head of the Mataram District Attorney's Intelligence Section, Harun Al Rasyid in Mataram, Wednesday, quoted by Antara.

He explained that these dozens of witnesses came from members of the Mataram DPRD and recipients of social assistance. They were also examined by auditors.

As a material for completing the investigation, the prosecutor collected evidence by also asking for support for the audit of the calculation of state financial losses from the NTB Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"So, there are some that were asked for BPKP yesterday. This is what we are still completing," he said.

Previously, Harun explained that the BPKP audit team asked the prosecutor's investigators to prepare new evidence as a material for completing the calculation of state financial losses through additional examination of a number of witnesses.

The examination of dozens of witnesses is confirmed by Harun as part of the follow-up coordination with the NTB BPKP.

Head of the Special Criminal Section of the Mataram District Attorney's Office, Mardiono, previously revealed the modus operandi of the criminal act of corruption that emerged in the distribution of the Mataram DPRD pokir social assistance with a value of up to Rp. 6 billion.

"The method is, there are many fictitious groups and those that have just been formed. There are also groups, after receiving assistance, they no longer try. There is also a cut (distribution)," said Mardiono.

According to the prosecutor's investigation, the modus operandi culminated in the implementation at the Mataram City Trade Service, which was suspected of distributing it in accordance with the implementation instructions and technical instructions.

One of the indications of his speech is related to not conducting a survey first to the groups of recipients of assistance.

From the results of the prosecutor's investigation, the nominal social assistance disbursed to the recipient group varies quite a bit, ranging from Rp. 2.5 million to Rp. 50 million. There are for groups, as well as individuals.

"The Rp50 million is actually received from individuals," said Mardiono.

By finding this result, Mardiono saw that there was an element of embezzlement. There was no form of supervision so that the elements of criminal offenses in the distribution of this social assistance emerged.

"The provision of social assistance is up to the members of the council, who wants to be given. The request is in the council. Disdag only distributes it," he said.

Mardiono explained that the handling of this case is already in the investigation stage. Efforts to strengthen evidence from the state's losses are the last note in the development of the investigation.

Although he has not received the results of the audit, Mardiono revealed that his party had found the potential value of state losses with a nominal value of Rp5 billion, from a total budget of Rp6 billion.
