Public Trust Must Be Paid with Real Work of the Police

Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rudianto Lallo, emphasized that the positive trend of public confidence in the National Police was not just a statistical figure from surveys, but must be answered and proven through real work.

He assessed that public confidence is the main capital for the National Police in carrying out the functions of law enforcement, protection, and protection of the community. This achievement is an indicator that the reforms carried out by the National Police are beginning to be felt directly by the community.

"The results of this survey did not come easily. This is the fruit of the hard work of Polri personnel in the field, as well as the commitment of the leadership in encouraging professionalism and better public services," he said, Sunday, January 4.

According to him, the enforcement of the code of ethics in the internal police is very important. When members who violate it are taken action, it will show the institution's seriousness to be clean and to be reformed. "This actually strengthens public confidence," continued Rudianto.

The politician from the NasDem Party Faction emphasized that the reform of the National Police must be balanced between improving the quality of service to the community and enforcing internal discipline. The reason is, without firmness against violations, the positive image that the National Police has built will easily collapse.

Therefore, he hopes that the National Police will continue to carry out the agenda of institutional reform, strengthen professionalism, and maintain neutrality and accountability in every task.

"The challenges ahead are not easy, but with consistency in reform and firmness in enforcing rules, the National Police will become stronger as an institution that the community trusts," said Rudianto.

Previously, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed that the public's trust in the National Police throughout 2025 showed an increasing trend.

This achievement is the result of hard work by all ranks of the National Police, supported by the active participation of the community.

This support is an important foundation for the National Police in carrying out its duties to maintain security, improve the quality of public services, and strengthen the professionalism and integrity of the institution.
