President Prabowo's Order: Forest Area Control, Do Not Look at the Hair and Do Not Want to Be Lobbyed

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto ordered his ranks to regulate the forest area indiscriminately for the benefit of the Indonesian people.

This was conveyed at a press conference at the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 24.

The serious steps to discipline the forest area were marked by the formation of the Forest Area Discipline Task Force (Satgas PKH) through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 5 of 2025 on January 21, 2025.

The PKH Task Force, which consists of elements of the TNI, Prosecutor's Office, Police, BPKP, BPN, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Finance, Geospatial Information Agency, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Forestry, and regional authorities, is tasked with restoring the functions of illegally occupied forest areas and restoring state rights over forest areas.

The illegal occupation of forest areas, according to President Prabowo, has been going on for decades.

Furthermore, President Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the hard work of all ministries and agencies that have supported the efforts of the PKH Task Force to regulate the forest area.
