PKS President: Anies Has The Potential To Win If He Advances In The 2024 Presidential Election

BANDA ACEH - President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Ahmad Syaikhu said that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has the potential to win if he participates in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"We see that there is a huge potential for Mr. Anies (to win the 2024 presidential election)," said Ahmad Syaikhu at a press conference in Banda Aceh as quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 27.

Syaikhu's belief in Anies was due to several survey results from a survey institution that showed and produced a good rating for the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"Anies' survey ranking, if not first, second or third, is like that, and Mr. Anies has always been with PKS since becoming the governor of DKI, hopefully this support will continue," he said.

Syaikhu emphasized that in providing support, PKS always chooses people who have a great opportunity to become leaders or do not arbitrarily appoint.

"The guidelines taken by PKS are people who have a chance to win, not just pointing at them," said Syaikhu.

According to Syaikhu, when referring to the mandate of the national deliberation (munas), PKS must try to nominate its own cadres. However, the problem is that to this day no PKS cadres have appeared to the public.

"It hasn't appeared yet, maybe because the survey has not been included, even though if it is included we know how far the community accepts PKS cadres," said Syaikhu.
