BATAM - The Code of Ethics and Professionalism Commission (KKEP) of the Riau Islands Regional Police (Polda Kepri) has imposed a sanction of dismissal without honor (PTDH) against Brigadier General YAAS for committing a serious violation related to the persecution of a prospective wife.

The verdict hearing for the ethics trial against Brigadier General YAAS was held on Tuesday (23/12) morning in the KKEP Courtroom of the Riau Islands Police, attended by FM (28), the prospective wife who was the victim of the persecution.
Eddwi said Brigadier General YAAS was found guilty of violating Article 13 paragraph (1) of the Government Regulation (PP) concerning the Dismissal of Polri Members, Juncto Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b and/or Article 8 letter c number 3 and/or Article 13 letter M of the Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Code of Ethics of the Profession and the Code of Ethics Commission of the National Police (KKEP).
According to him, the act of ethical violations committed by Brigadi YAAS is committing immoral acts which resulted in FM being pregnant and not providing certainty of a valid marriage, as well as committing acts of violence.
The facts of the KKEP trial stated that Brigadi YAAS was proven to have had an affair with FM and committed immoral acts in the form of sexual relations outside of a valid marriage bond, thus contradicting the norms of decency and the ethics of the personality of members of the National Police.
"The violations committed include serious violations," said Eddwi.
After the verdict was read, Brigadier YAAS appealed the verdict. The KKEP Court of Appeal gave three days to appeal to the KKEP Appeal Commission.
"The panel of judges has given three days to enter the appeal," said Eddwi.
Separately, FM victim thanked the Kepri Police, especially the Kepri Police Propam, for having provided justice to him.
He faced two police reports related to the persecution and sexual harassment that he reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Sumatra Police, which were immediately processed to court.
"I thank the North Sumatra Regional Police, Propam million, I got justice. I hope the other two reports are also processed so that there will be no more victims," said FM.
