PARIAMAN - As many as 22 state civil servants (ASN) from two regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and a number of residents of Kota Pariaman, West Sumatra, have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"This morning the results came out, there were 22 positive people for COVID, the number was dominated by ASN," said the Acting Head of the Pariaman City Health Service, Nazifah in Pariaman, quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 27.

ASNs exposed to COVID-19 came from the Regional Finance and Revenue Management Agency, Inspectorate of Kota Pariaman, and Puskesmas Marunggi in Pariaman Selatan District.

Nazifah conveyed that the ASN which was known to be positive for COVID-19 this morning was allegedly due to exposure to 19 other ASNs that were previously positive for the virus.

"Because there was something positive we did the tracking, and Monday (24/5) we did a mass swab test, the results of which came out this morning," he said.

His party also carried out tracing and swab tests for contact parties and for sampling carried out at the Puskesmas in the area.

Nazifah said that his party had previously implemented work from home (WFH) for ASN in two OPDs and one Puskesmas in Pariaman City since Monday (24/5) because of the ASN that was positive for COVID.

"After the results come out, ASNs whose test results are negative can return to the office," he continued.

He said that currently the number of residents of Kota Pariaman was recorded as positive for COVID-19, reaching 768 people. 686 people have been declared cured and 19 died.

Previously, the Pariaman City Government (Pemkot), West Sumatra, implemented work from home (WFH) for two regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and one Puskesmas because it became a cluster for the spread of COVID-19.

The WFH was implemented after the discovery of positive cases of COVID-19 in the Regional Finance and Revenue Management Agency with a positive number of 10 people, the Inspectorate for four people, and the Marunggi Community Health Center with five people.
