Not long after, said Budi, three men approached the victim and claimed to be members of the police from the Metro Jaya Police.
"There were three men approaching the victim claiming to be members of the Polda Metro Jaya police, then the victim was accused of illegal transactions by the perpetrators," said Budi.
Budi revealed that the victim was then taken around to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area. In the car, the victim was asked to hand over a sum of money as ransom.
"The victim was asked to give ransom money, then the perpetrator took the money in the victim's M-banking, after which another perpetrator took the victim's motorcycle which was still parked at the crime scene using the original key," he said.
As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a loss of one unit of a 2023 silver Honda Scoopy motorcycle, as well as cash of Rp. 4.2 million.
Budi emphasized that the police had made efforts to investigate by visiting the crime scene, recording witnesses, checking CCTV footage, and directing the victim to make a formal police report.
"The perpetrators are currently still under investigation by the police," he concluded.
