DKI Police Add 4 Boats to Serve Holidaymakers to Thousand Islands

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Office (Dishub) has added four units of ships to serve people who want to travel to the Thousand Islands during the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays (Nataru).

"But for departure to Thousand Islands, we also adjust it to the situation and weather conditions. According to the BMKG forecast, we also adjust it," said Head of DKI Jakarta Dishub Syafrin Liputo when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.

He said the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) ensured that holidays in Jakarta during the Christmas and New Year period were safe and comfortable.

His party is also committed to increasing vigilance regarding weather conditions in Jakarta.

"According to the BMKG's forecast that in December and January there will be extreme weather. Extreme rain, and of course we have all coordinated well and are ready to face any conditions," said Syafrin.

Furthermore, he revealed that the DKI Provincial Government had made various preparations ahead of the Christmas and New Year transportation period, including by conducting roadworthiness checks (ramp check) on vehicles that would operate and checking the readiness of departure terminals. bus.

"Hopefully, the entire fleet operating at the four AKAP terminals in Jakarta, namely Pulo Gebang Terminal, Kampung Rambutan, Kalideres, and Tanjung Priok, has met the technical requirements and is roadworthy," said Syafrin.

In addition, he continued, the DKI Provincial Government through the Health Office, Police, and TNI also prepared Christmas and New Year posts at bus departure terminals.

In addition to the four main terminals, namely Pulo Gebang, Kalideres, Kampung Rambutan, and Tanjung Priok, DKI Dishub also prepared three assistance terminals, namely the Muara Angke Terminal, Grogol Terminal, and Lebak Bulus Terminal to serve the community during the Christmas and New Year transportation period.

Meanwhile, regarding the number of officers who were alerted, in total there were 2,500 personnel from the DKI Transportation Service, who would later be tasked with arranging at the terminal and traffic control during the Christmas and New Year transportation period.

"The principle is, during this Nataru period (Christmas and New Year), we prepare officers and all facilities and infrastructure so that the organizers are safe, secure, comfortable, and the public can carry out the activities smoothly, and of course meet the safety aspects on the road," said Syafrin.
