Had Disappeared While Crossing The River, Aper Was Found Dead

SIMPANG FOUR - A joint team from Basarnas Pasaman, West Sumatra found the victim who was swept away by Aper (45) in the Batang Pasaman River in a state of death, Friday 12 December.

"The victim was found 2.5 kilometers from the beginning of his drifting location at 08.30 WIB and immediately evacuated to the Aia Gadang Health Center," said SAR Post Coordinator Pasaman (OSC) Novi Yurandi, quoted by Antara, Friday morning.

According to him, the search for victims has been carried out since Wednesday, December 10 morning with a team involved from BPBD, Polres, TNI, PMI, KSB and the surrounding community.

"Thank you for the participation of all parties in searching for victims," he said.

He appealed to the public to remain careful when near the river, monitor and hilly flow because the weather is still extreme.

Previously, the victim and his friend Abu Talib both crossed the Batang Pasaman River to the Astra area on Tuesday (9/12) at 18.30 WIB.

At that time he had arrived across the river, but when the witness looked back the victim was no longer there and it was suspected that the river water was carried.

Seeing that, Abu Talib immediately reported it to other communities and to the nagari.

Since Wednesday (10/12) the joint team has immediately searched for victims along the Batang Pasaman River.

"After searching for two days, the victim was found on the third day," he said.
