ASDP Make Sure The Smoothness Of Bakauheni Port During The Christmas-New Year Long Holiday

PT Transport Sungai, Lake, and Ferry Indonesia Crossing (PT ASDP) ensures the smooth running of Bakauheni Port Lampung during the long Christmas 2025 holiday transportation and the new year 2026 (Nataru).

General Manager of ASDP Bakauheni Partogi Samba said that his party had held a coordination meeting with relevant stakeholders to anticipate a surge in community mobility during the long Nataru holiday momentum.

"For Nataru this year, it is predicted that there will be no spike, therefore there will be no diversion of vehicles to Bandar Bakau Jaya (BBJ) port, but later BBJ will receive cargo from Ciwandan Port, Merak, Banten," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 10.

Even though it is predicted that there will be no spike, his party is still taking a number of steps to anticipate an increase in the volume of vehicles on the Nataru backflow at Bakauheni Port.

These strategies include clustering, delaying systems and buffer zones. In addition, pockets for parking in the Rest Area are also prepared so that passengers do not wait too long at the port.

"The discussion is focused on the main crossing route, namely Bakauheni Merak, which is a strategic point in supporting the smooth flow of transportation during the Nataru period," he said.

Therefore, he emphasized the importance of optimizing the route in order to anticipate potential congestion in the year-end holiday flow.

"Various aspects have been evaluated, ranging from the readiness of port facilities and infrastructure, arrangement of ship schedules, vehicle queue systems, to strengthening coordination between related agencies," he said.

According to him, ASDP Bakauheni has divided the tasks between agencies, to ensure that the operation of Nataru transportation runs safely, comfortably, and smoothly for all service users.
