JAKARTA - The National Agency for Central Disaster Management (BNPB) targets the completion of the repair of a number of provincial roads to maximize the distribution of aid by land after floods and landslides occurred in the Aceh Province.

Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari said the cut-off provincial roads are currently still in the repair stage with varying completion targets.

He explained that the variation of the completion target starts from December 14 to 17, 2025, which includes North Aceh to Bireuen, Gayo Lues to Abdya, Pidie Jaya to Bireuen, Bireuen to North Aceh, Bireuen to Bener Meriah.

Then Pidie headed to Central Aceh, and Central Aceh headed to Nagan Raya.

Meanwhile, for access from Gayo Lues to Southeast Aceh, his party targets that it will be functionally available for limited use starting December 20, 2025.

He hopes that the collapsed points on the road can be stockpiled immediately so that it can significantly increase the distribution of aid within a few days, considering that land routes can distribute more aid than using air lines.

"So we hope that some of these significant land access points can be completely completed this week," he said.

To support these improvements, the relevant parties today sent 20 drums of fuel or about 4 tons using the CN TNI AU aircraft and 10 tons of foodstuffs using the Indonesian Air Force Hercules.
