JAKARTA - The sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court rejected the pretrial application of the suspect who is also the former President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) II Persero, Richard Joost (RJ) Lino.

The rejection verdict was read by Single Judge Morgan Simanjuntak, at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, May 25.

Judge Morgan said the investigation conducted by the Respondent of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against the applicant RJ Lino, until the determination of suspects and detention is legally valid.

"Considering in that case, the applicant's pretrial application must be rejected. Considering that the pretrial application was rejected then the applicant was charged with the cost of the case," Judge Morgan was quoted as saying by Antara.

The judge argued based on the facts of the trial, the respondent kpk in processing the case that has been running for 2 years has conducted investigation and prosecution measures, examined witnesses, experts, including RJ Lino, and BPK, and analyzed the evidence of three units "Quay Container Crane" (QCC).

In that case, kpk believes the applicant (RJ Lino) has committed a crime of corruption.

RJ Lino is a suspect in the alleged corruption of the three-unit "Quay Container Crane" (QCC) procurement project at PT Pelindo II in 2010.

In the trial, RJ Lino represented his team of lawyers led by Agus Dwiwarsono. While kpk represented kpk law bureau team.
