JAKARTA - The Kremlin considers it important to understand the outcome of the dialogue between the United States and Ukraine, following a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"As you know, detailed work has been carried out in Moscow during a meeting between Putin, Witkoff, and Kushner. Then, based on the results achieved in Moscow, Witkoff and Kushner met with the Ukrainian negotiator delegation led by (Rustam) Umerov. Now it is important for us to understand the results of the meeting," explained Peskov, launching TASS (8/12).

Peskov did not comment on US President Donald Trump's statement that, unlike his delegation, President Volodymyr Zelensky did not know the contents of the peace plan. "We don't know exactly what his dissent is," he said.

Peskov stressed that both sides had realized megaphone diplomacy's inproductiveness, reaching the results requiring calm work.

"Therefore, we hope to receive the information. That way, everything will become clear," Peskov said.

It is known that President Putin's meeting with Witkoff and Kushner in Moscow ended after midnight on December 3. According to Kremlin Aide Yury Ushakov, the meeting, which focused on Ukraine's completion, was constructive and substantive.

Both sides discussed options for peace plans, including territorial issues, and agreed to maintain contact.

Meanwhile, negotiations between US and Ukrainian representatives ended in Florida on December 6. After the negotiations, Witkoff and Kushner had a telephone conversation with President Zelensky.

According to news outlet Axios, the US is trying a new approach to resolve territorial disputes in its negotiations with Ukraine.
