Travel Car Overturned On Bali Mandara Toll Road, 13 Chinese Foreigners Injured

DENPASAR - A traffic accident occurred at the exit of the Bali Mandara Toll Road, Denpasar, on Jalan Raya Pelabuhan Benoa, Kilometer 12.

A travel car with the number plate DK 7728 GA driven by a driver with the initials ML, rolled over on the road. This car carries 13 passengers of foreign nationals (WNA) from China.

"No one (died). Meanwhile (the passengers) suffered abrasions, bruises, broken teeth. But two (people) are still observing whether they have broken bones or not for the time being," said Head of Denpasar Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Yusuf Dwi Admojo, Friday, December 5.

The driver and tour guide were injured. Passengers of Chinese citizens were also reportedly injured, namely ZP, PP, DS, LX, CR, ZM, HB, ZX, ZH, DH, CC, PY, JP were also injured.

Initially, the travel driver Isuzu DK 7728 GA moved from south to north in the far right lane or fast lane at high speed.

At the location, the travel driver swerved to the right and hit the lamppole until the car rolled over.

"Arriving at the scene, the driver swerved to the right because he was sleepy. Then, hit the lamp and then the car rolled over. (For the victims) were at Bali Mandara and Siloam Hospitals," he said.
