Achieve The 2025 Sutami Award, PT Marinda Utama Karya Subur Praised For Having An Impact On Garut Irrigation

JAKARTA - PT Marinda Utama Karya Subur won the Award of the Minister of Public Works Award at the 2025 Sutami Award thanks to the DI Leuwigoong Irrigation Network Rehabilitation project in Garut, West Java. The award was received by the Branch Director, Firman Hidayat, at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works, South Jakarta, Monday (1/12).

Firman said this award was an encouragement for the company to maintain the quality of work and ensure strict supervision of irrigation projects that include the construction of primary and secondary channels. The new infrastructure is expected to increase the efficiency of water distribution and strengthen Garut's food security.

Data from BPS Garut 2024 recorded local rice productivity of 5.8 tons/ha. With optimal irrigation, this figure is projected to increase by 10'12 percent. However, Firman reminded that irrigation development should continue to side with farmers.

This project brings great hope. Small farmers must be a top priority," said Firman in a written statement received Thursday, December 4.

He also emphasized the importance of synergy between contractors, BBWS, and the community so that the results of sustainable development. "Food security is not just a physical building, but taking sides with the people," he said.

The 2025 Sutami Award is an appreciation event for various institutions that are considered to play a role in national infrastructure development. Apart from PT Marinda Utama Karya Subur, other recipients include KSO Hutama'AbiPraya Konstruksi Yasa, PT Gaia Karya, PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk, and the Public Works Office of East Kalimantan, Central Java, and Central Sulawesi.
