BANDA ACEH - Access to the East Aceh national highway to Langsa is reportedly gradually returning to normal and can be passed by post-disaster vehicles. The East Aceh government is now shifting its focus to the distribution of aid in isolated areas.

"Logistical assistance will specifically be aimed at isolated areas. It is specifically addressed to sub-districts that are difficult to reach, namely Peunaron, Simpang Jernih, and Serba Jadi," said East Aceh Regent Iskandar Usman Al Farlaky as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 3.

Iskandar said that logistics distribution uses a special method, namely through rivers and air routes. It is hoped that quick assistance will reach the affected residents.

In addition, Iskandar requested that the supply of fuel and LPG gas be immediately supplied to a number of areas in the interior of East Aceh that are in dire need.

Previously, the East Aceh Regency Government had coordinated with Pertamina to ensure the need for LPG fuel and gas. This distribution aims to restore economic activity and household life that has been stopped due to disasters.

"We have deployed 10 trucks loaded with fuel and LPG gas to be supplied evenly, especially to remote areas in East Aceh," he said.

So far, he continued, logistical assistance has almost been distributed evenly. Residents who have not received or experienced problems are asked to immediately report through a tiered mechanism.

"For those who still have families who have not received assistance (logistics), immediately report to the local keuchik (village head) and then forward it to the Main Command Post at the East Aceh Regent's Hall in Idi Rayeuk," said Iskandar.
