KPK Explores Non-Budget Funds From Other Procurements At Bank BJB

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that there are non-budget funds whose sources come from other procurement projects at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR).

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo after the anti-corruption commission examined former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil as a witness to alleged corruption in the procurement of advertisements at Bank BJB on Tuesday, December 2. Investigators are said to be investigating any information found related to non-budget funds.

The non-budget fund is the difference in paying for the procurement of advertisements for Bank BJB returned by the tender winning company. The management is called the KPK carried out by the corporate secretary (corsec) section of the regional bank for unplanned purposes.

"This is still being investigated," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, December 3.

In addition, Budi also said where the money was flowing would be investigated by investigators. "Anyone, including for anything. We will track everything down, we will trace it," he said.

Furthermore, Budi detailed the findings of non-budget funds obtained from advertising procurement projects. "(The amount, red) is around Rp. 200 billion," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK has named five suspects in connection with allegations of corruption in the procurement of advertisements at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR).

They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi; Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto; Agency Control Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulman; Agency Controller BSC Advertising and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. This case is issued on February 27, 2025. The actions of the five suspects are thought to have cost the state up to IDR 222 billion.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended according to the needs of the investigation.

In handling this alleged corruption, investigators have searched a number of places. One of them, the private house of former Governor Ridwan Kamil and confiscated a Royal Enfield motorbike and a Mercedes Benz 280 SL from a workshop in the Bandung City area.
