8 Million Sinovacs Coming Again, Now Indonesia Has 83.9 Million Doses Of COVID-19 Vaccine

JAKARTA - Indonesia is returning the arrival of vaccines today. A total of 8 million doses of Sinovac vaccine arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. This vaccine arrives in bulk or raw material form.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartato said that in total, ri has received 83.9 million doses of vaccine. The vaccine consists of Sinovac, Sinopharm, and AstraZeneca.

"The government always maintains the availability of vaccine stocks so that the implementation of vaccinations in accordance with the target stages that have been set," said Airlangga at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tuesday, May 25.

Airlangga claims the government always ensures the safety factors of quality, quality, and efficacy (efficacy) of vaccines that come to the country. Therefore, the community should not hesitate in receiving vaccines.

"Vaccines provided in Indonesia through the evaluation process by the POM Agency that has received developments from experts from ITAGI and WHO," he said.

On that occasion, Airlangga mentioned President Joko Widodo considers COVID-19 vaccination is a game changer.

Vaccination for Jokowi is one of the crucial steps that determines success to end the COVID-19 pandemic by achieving immunity through 181.5 million vaccine targets or 70 percent of Indonesians.

Furthermore, Airlangga said there are 14,919,589 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 9,896,982 second dose vaccinations. Meanwhile, the total vaccination target of phase 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.

"Implementation of course we need to accelerate and of course some things that need to be considered are regional or geospatial aspects based on the basis, be it red zones, orange, and economic activities," he explained.
