Visiting The Frontline Command Center, President Putin Praises The Russian Army

JAKARTA - President Vladimir Putin thanked and expressed his appreciation for the success of the Russian military when visiting command centers and troops on the front lines.

"I would like to thank you for the results of your work regarding Krasnoarmeysk. Both you and all combat groups command and personnel. Of course, the fighters, our people, who carry out this combat mission," said President Putin, launching TASS (2/12).

Putin also discussed the situation on the northern border, emphasizing the North Combat Group's task to General Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov: "I ask you, among other things, to report the development of the situation in the North Combat Group's responsibilities region, given that they have been assigned to create a security zone along the country's borders."

Regarding fighting in the direction of Zaporizhia, President Putin said Ukrainian troops could not match Russia's offensive speed, and told General Andrey Ivanayev: "Your troops are advancing at a speed that guarantees the completion of all tasks that lie ahead of us. I mean, with our offensive speed (to Zaporizhia) like that, enemies, of course, cannot respond appropriately."

Meanwhile, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said President Putin visited the frontline command center on November 30 evening to hear reports of the release of Krasnoarmeysk City in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Volkansk in the Kharkov Region.

"On the evening of November 30, Russian President and Supreme Commander Vladimir Putin visited the Command Post of the Joint Forces. He listened to reports from the Chief of General Staff (Valery) of Gerasimov, the Central Commander of the Combat Group (Colonel General Valery) Solodchuk and the Commander of the Eastern Combat Group (Colonel General Andrey) Ivanayev," Peskov said.

"General Gerasimov reports to the Supreme Commander about the release of Krasnoarmeysk City in the DPR and Volkansk in the Kharkov Region, as well as about the results of offensive operations in other regions," he added.

In addition, Solodchuk reported to the president about progress in the destruction of Ukrainian combat groups near the Krasnoarmeysk-Dimitrov agglomeration, "including about the control of the southern part of Dimitrov City under the control of Russian troops, and about the situation in Krasnoarmeysk after being released by our troops," he said.
