Case Of Destruction Of Brigadier Rizka's House, NTB Police Detain 6 Suspects

The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police revealed that there are six people who are now suspects in the alleged case of destroying the house of Brigadier Rizka Sintiani, wife and suspect in the murder of her husband, Brigadier Esco Faska Rely.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the NTB Police, Kombes Syarif Hidayat, emphasized that the suspect was a witness who had previously undergone examination at the investigation stage.

"According to the results of the title, we have raised six people from witness to suspect," said Syarif, quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 27.

Investigators named them suspects by applying Article 160 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 170 of the Criminal Code as stated in the completeness of the evidence.

The follow-up to the determination, he continued, investigators detained six suspects at the detention center of the NTB Police's Detention and Evidence (Dittahti).

Regarding the identity of the six suspects, Syarif chose not to disclose it to the public due to security considerations.

He only confirmed that the six suspects did not only come from the family of Brigadier Rizka's husband, who came from Bonjeruk, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency.

"What is clear is that some are not from the family of the deceased (Brigadir Esco)," he said.

Furthermore, Syarif explained that the investigation of this case is still ongoing and it is possible that additional suspects will be revealed.

"So, everything can still develop later according to the results of the examination," he said.

Previously, the police in this case had revealed that nine people had the potential to become suspects in the case of destroying the house of Brigadier Rizka Sintiani in Nyiur Lembang Hamlet, Jembatan Hangung Village, Lembar District, West Lombok Regency.

The strengthening evidence in this case relates to witness statements from residents and police who were at the location during the vandalism, video recordings, and expert opinion from the Bali Police Forensic Laboratory.

This vandalism was allegedly carried out by a group of residents because the motive was not satisfied with the results of the police investigation, which at that time had not revealed the role of the suspect other than Brigadier Rizka in the murder case of Brigadier Esco.

The slow impression of other people's roles in handling the police sparked an action that was included in this anarchist act.

Not long after the action took place, West Lombok Police investigators announced the role of other suspects in the murder case of Brigadier Esco as many as four people with three of them being relatives of Brigadier Rizka and the other being friends of the late Esco.
