Airlines Stop Flights To Venezuela Due To Trump Gathering US Warships

JAKARTA - The airline suspended flights to Venezuela as the US military upgrade in Latin America had 48 hours to resume flights or lose landing rights.

This was emphasized by a source from the Venezuelan Ministry of Transportation to AFP on Wednesday WIB.

The Venezuelan government has met with airline officials who suspended flights to their country on Monday local time.

During the meeting, the source admitted that Venzuela delivered the ultimatum.

At least seven airlines suspended their flights over the weekend, referring to warnings from US regulators about increasing US military activity near Venezuela's territory.

The Donald Trump government is known to have amassed many of its warship fleets and has attacked ships suspected of smuggling drugs in Latin American waters.

The buildup of US warships and attacks on Latin American waters is suspected to be upaya US intervention into Venezuela.
