JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka reported directly the results of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, to President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, upon arrival in Jakarta.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya through an upload from his official Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, said Vice President Gibran reported the results of the G20 Summit, upon arrival in Jakarta (24/11).

"Arriving in Jakarta, Vice President Gibran reported the results of the G20 Summit to President Prabowo to follow up on various agreements and international cooperation that had been discussed," said Seskab Teddy as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 25.

In the meeting of the President and Vice President, he accompanied the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The presence of Gibran at the G20 Summit which took place in Johannesburg, South Africa pads 22-23 November 2025 to carry out a direct assignment from President Prabowo who was unable to attend.

At the G20 Summit, Vice President Gibran attended plenary sessions and important meetings that discussed strategic issues such as food security, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence.

At the G20 Summit, Gibran delivered a speech in three sessions. In the first session to discuss sustainable economic issues, the role of trade and finance in development, as well as debt problems in developing countries, Gibran spoke about financial inclusion that could minimize inequality.

The Vice President also introduced a digital QRIS payment system made by the nation's children which has encouraged the community's economic participation and reduced inequality.

During the session, the Vice President also talked about crypto and digital tokens. According to the Vice President, digital currencies can create opportunities as well as risks.

"Therefore, Indonesia proposes that the G20 start a dialogue about the intelligence economy," he said.

In the second session, Gibran promoted the concept of sustainable resilience. With Indonesia's geographical conditions located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, Indonesia faces more than 3,000 disasters every year.
