Police In Dompu Arrested, Suspected Of Excise Drug Party At Boarding House

JAKARTA - The Dompu Resort Police, West Nusa Tenggara arrested the Second Police Brigadier (Bripda) with the initials F while with seven other people in a boarding house suspected of being the location for the abuse of ecstasy.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the Dompu Police, Iptu I Nyoman Suardika, confirmed the legal process against Bripda F for the follow-up to the arrest of the narcotics team in the Salama area, Bada Village.

"Yes, that's right. F is a member of the police officer with the rank of Bripda," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 24.

Bripda F was arrested along with seven other people on Sunday morning (23/11) at around 06.00 WITA, for follow-up information from the public who were suspicious of activities in the boarding house room which was the location for the arrest.

Of the seven people who were also arrested with Bripda F in the boarding house room, there were four of them were women.

Evidence of drugs that was also secured from the location of the arrest in the form of six inex ecstasy pills. Evidence was found in cigarette packs.

"All of them are now being secured at the Dompu Police Headquarters for further investigation," he said.

For the prosecution of drug cases suspected of involving members of the police, Suardika emphasized that this action was evidence of the police's commitment to eradicating drug abuse and trafficking in Dompu Regency.

"The Dompu Police does not provide space for anyone who commits drug abuse. Law enforcement will be carried out firmly and measurably," he said.
