BUKITTINGGI - Dozens of residents in Bukik Cangang Kayu Ramang Village (BKCR) Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra temporarily evacuated due to reports of movable land activity and landslides on the lips of Ngarai Sianok.

"There were no casualties or no reports of damage yet, evacuation measures were taken to anticipate," said Westi.

Those who fled also consisted of dozens of students and students living in boarding houses belonging to local residents.

"Residents fled to the village head office and mosques in relatively safe areas," said Westi.

From observations at the location, the evacuation process was assisted by BPBD personnel, TNI-Polri.

Several residents also took their belongings out of their homes and vacated the location.
