Viral Bride In Sumbar Married Without Pelaminan, It Turns Out This Is The Cause

BUKITTINGGI - Newlyweds in Jorong Kapalo Koto, Nagari Sungai Pua, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, were forced to endure embarrassment because of the actions of the pelaminan tent providers who did not provide the promised facilities at the reception.

"I personally and my extended family are disappointed and bear the shame of this incident, even though I have paid a down payment of Rp3 million," said the groom, Ari (28) in Bukittinggi quoted antara, Sunday, May 23.

This incident occurred on Saturday, May 22, while holding a wedding reception held at his residence with his family in Kapalo Koto.

The pelaminan tent he ordered was not installed until the end of the event by the pelaminan service provider who refused to mention the victim's name.

The tent that was supposed to be perfectly installed early in the morning, filled with only a few tables without chairs, one piece of carpet, no veil and the saddest was that there was no throne for the bride and groom's side.

"I am angry, disappointed and ashamed, but until now still trying to maintain the good name of the pelaminan services that are still close to our country," he said.

It had tried to contact the pelaminan service but still arrived late at around 14.00 WIB.

"Obviously we refuse when they arrive late, it would be more embarrassing if we allowed them to put a pelaminan in front of guests who had come a lot," he said.

Ari added, even though he has struggled to deliver the down payment for the pelaminan since May 01 because of the request of the service provider.

Finally, the newlyweds carried out the wedding reception with simple materials and equipment with a sense of disappointment.

The incident was also widely circulated on social media until it was shared up to 200 times more by social media users in Bukittinggi and Agam.
