JAKARTA - All members of Commission III of the DPR were reported to the Honorary Court of the Council (MKD) by the Constitutional Monitoring Community Alliance (AMPK) regarding the alleged negligence in the fit and proper test process for the candidate for judges at the Constitutional Court (MK).

In this case, it relates to the alleged fake diploma of the doctoral program of the Constitutional Court judge, Arsul Sani, who has also been reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"Specifically, our presence at the MKD during the day is related to reporting against Commission III. In connection with us, we suspect that there was negligence in the fit and proper test process for the Constitutional Court judge," said AMPK member Muhammad Rizal, at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 17.

Rizal hopes that MKD can summon representatives of Commission III of the DPR in an institutional manner, both leaders and members to be held accountable for the alleged case of fake diplomas by one of the Constitutional Court judges.

In particular, the leadership and members of Commission III of the DPR who were involved in making decisions on the election of Arsul Sani in the fit and proper test in September 2023.

Rizal said that his party did not report people per person but Commission III of the DPR as a whole. Regarding Commission III of the DPR last period, Rizal is waiting for the mechanism running at the MKD.

"Yes, if that's the case, we'll actually see in the MKD itself, it's called, right, what we report is Commission III, not individuals. This means that then the former or the present one will be taken care of by the MKD," said Rizal.

"The point is how then we report related to negligence in the process or alleged negligence in the fit and proper test process of the Constitutional Court judge," he continued.

Another member of the AMPK, Veteran Sulani hopes that the DPR MKD can follow up and carry out its duties to investigate allegations or indications of violating the code of ethics and others regarding the feasibility test process of one of the Constitutional Court judges in September 2023.

"We reported one of them, yes, the judge of the Constitutional Court, the initials AS. So, I can't name the full name, I can only mention the initials. One of the judges of the Constitutional Court has the initials AS. We got information from several media, even one of the media in Poland. So from the Commission on the Eradication of Corruption, Poland is examining one of the campuses, which is the origin of the campus from the brother we are suspected of using a fake diploma, related to his doctoral degree," said Sulani.

AMPK, he said, had also reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police regarding the same thing, so that the police could carry out their duties and the public could also get the true information from the results followed up by the police.

"We attach several media, even Polish media we have attached, and student actions that have carried out several actions in the Constitutional Court related to the same demands regarding these allegations. So, we are actually suspected by several organizations that carried out the action in front of the Constitutional Court last week," he said.

"We hope that this MKD will carry out, yes, carry out the task of summoning parties who then verify the judges of the Constitutional Court," he concluded.
