JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto stated that the government is increasing the scale of the Learning Digitization Program starting next year with a target of installing around 1 million smartboard panels or interactive flat panels (IFPs) in schools throughout Indonesia.
In launching the program at SMPN 4 Bekasi City, West Java, the Head of State said this step was a continuation of the acceleration of distribution of devices that had been running since mid-2025.
"It means, next year we will install 1 million panels, approximately," said President Prabowo in his speech reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 17.
The President assessed that the signs of program success were visible, but reminded his staff not to be complacent.
He emphasized the importance of enriching learning content and opening up to the best sources of material from around the world.
Prabowo also instructed the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education to form a special team to review and adjust content, including international education animations, to be in line with the needs of Indonesian children.
According to him, the availability of quality content and the expansion of access to technology are the keys in realizing a more inclusive and modern national education transformation.
To date, the process of sending smartphone devices has reached 215,572 units, with 172,550 devices arriving in schools and 43,022 others still on their way.
The government targets all devices to arrive at recipient schools by December 2025.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Education and Culture has provided training to 64,000 teachers. The implementation of the training was also strengthened by the presence of 1,450 Digital Education Fighters who acted as mentors to assist schools in utilizing IFP and the Education House platform.
In addition, LPDP alumni also take part as facilitators and assistants in the application of interactive learning in various regions.
