JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed the trauma situation that was still felt by a number of students at SMAN 72 Jakarta after the bomb explosion incident some time ago.
Not only traumatized, Pramono also received a report from the Principal of SMAN 72 Jakarta that a number of students admitted that they wanted to change schools. This condition is considered to be a separate problem that must be handled carefully.
Therefore, Pramono did not want to force public schools in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta to be able to resume teaching and learning activities in schools normally tomorrow.
"Indeed, what I was surprised about was that the Principal also said that there were several students who were traumatized. Because of the trauma of asking to change schools, yes, but this is a separate problem," said Pramono in North Jakarta, Sunday, November 16.
Pramono has given directions to schools to hold deliberations with teachers and students to determine whether learning can take place again in schools starting Monday, November 17.
"So for SMA 72, once again I have communicated directly with the principal yesterday, they will invite students and their teachers to discuss," said Pramono.
According to Pramono, the decision to study offline should not be forced if the school is not yet fully ready. He emphasized that the learning pattern should be prepared based on the psychological readiness of students.
"If Monday is ready, please open it, but if it's not ready, don't force it," he said.
Since that incident, the learning process at SMAN 72 has been temporarily transferred to online learning. The DKI Provincial Government has set a policy of learning from home since November 10 in line with the process of sterilizing the location after the explosion. The DKI Jakarta Education Office said online learning was focused on students' mental recovery before returning to class.
Not long ago, Pramono invited SMAN 72 Jakarta to again hold teaching and learning activities at schools. After the explosion, the public school in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta implemented online learning.
"Regarding the learning process at SMAN Negeri 72, we have given freedom to the Head of the Education Office. We give complete freedom to schools," said Pramono at the AA Maramis Building of the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 11.
Pramono revealed that the school's freedom to study offline again was because he received reports that some students had wanted to return to school and study face-to-face.

"For that, because all the data has been taken by the Police, it is related to events and now the teaching and learning process is done directly, actually it can be done," said Pramono.
