10 Cases Of Alleged Major Corruption In Papua, KPK: Right Is Under Investigation

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating a case of alleged corruption in Papua. Data collection and checking of related parties are also being conducted.

"Currently KPK is right to conduct further deepening by collecting a number of data and requests for information on parties related to alleged corruption in papua," KPK Spokesman Ali Fikri told reporters on Saturday, May 22.

However, Ali was reluctant to detail the data being examined. Including anyone who has been questioned in the course of the investigation of this case.

Only confirmed, the corruption that is being investigated related to procurement and others. "The alleged corruption is related to procurement, bribery and gratification," he said.

On the other hand, Ali also asked the public to be patient waiting for the investigation process. Later, each field will be delivered transparently.

"Every development will be further communicated in due course, after all activities are completed," he said.

Previously, Minister of Police Polhukam Mahfud MD revealed that the government found there were 10 major corruption cases occurring in Papua. Furthermore, the government will crack down on the practice.

These findings were obtained from the reports of the Audit Board of Finance (BPK) and the State Intelligence Agency.

"We already have 10 major corruption cases that law enforcement will also do against them," Mahfud told reporters On Wednesday, May 19.
