Mass Poisoning In Bogor? City Government: SPPG Doesn't Have A Higiene Certificate

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) immediately took action and took steps on reports of alleged food poisoning experienced by a number of students at a school in South Bogor District, Bogor City, Friday, November 14.

The Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim also expressed his concern about the incident. He hopes that similar incidents will not happen again.

"I am concerned, hopefully it will not happen again when all the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) have obtained a Higiene Sanitation Certificate (SLHS) from the Health Office. Well, coincidentally what happened was a new SPPG and did not yet have a SLHS. The plan is that tomorrow there will be training," said Dedie Rachim at the Bogor City DPRD Building.

Dedie Rachim emphasized the caution of all parties and emphasized that do not ignore the health affairs of children.

"Don't let it just be because of carelessness and then sick children. But so far, the report has been handled by the Health Office, Puskesmas, hopefully it won't increase," he said.

Head of the Bogor City Health Office (Dinkes), Sri Nowo Retno, said that the patient handling was carried out at the South Bogor, Bondongan, and Lawangggintung Health Centers.

His party has also coordinated with all hospitals in Bogor City to prepare for patient admission.

Currently, the Health Office is also conducting an epidemiological investigation (interviewing SPPG and cases).

"Take samples of food and specimens from patients, coordinate with the school, to report if there are additional cases," he said.

In addition, the Health Office has ordered that it stop consuming food that has been distributed but has not been eaten.

"Dinkes also continues to follow up to anticipate and monitor additional cases, examine samples to the labkesda, treat patients, monitor case reports from hospitals, health centers, and schools," he said.

Meanwhile, the total portion of food distributed by SPPG Batutuli 08 was 3,992 servings distributed to 17 schools with 3 distribution groups.

"From the data obtained, today's menu, rice, grilled chicken, carrots corn tumis, box milk, tempe chips. The first symptoms (onset) were 10 to 30 minutes," he said.

The symptoms experienced by the patients include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, blood and flexibility defecations, fever, dizziness, chills, sweating, and stomach pain.

Retno ensured that the Bogor City Government through the Bogor City Health Office continued to take preventive steps and also followed up in anticipation so that similar incidents did not happen again.
