BANDUNG - Bandung Regency Government (Pemkab), West Java, said that it requires a cost of Rp9.5 billion to be able to suppress the flood problem of Dayeuhkolot and accelerate the resolution of the problem.
Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna explained that the funds were used for eight strategic steps that must be taken in handling the Dayeuhkolot floods.
"These eight strategic needs (flood solutions) cost Rp9.5 billion. Of the 30 companies in Dayeuhkolot, they have stated that they are ready to help," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 12.
He said the eight strategic steps included the normalization of the roadside drainage channel Moh. Toha, Babakan Sangkuriang Police, Cipalasari River, as well as the U-Ditch channel BBWS Dayeuhkolot.
Other needs include the construction of pump houses and pump procurement, dredging of Bojokangan environmental channels, dredging of flow channels in the Bojo Kasih area, Dayeuhkolot Village, and normalization activities at a number of other flood-prone points.
Dadang also explained that his party is targeting the handling of the Dayeuhkolot flood to start running in January 2026 through a five-sector pentahellical scheme.
Although this flood management program was carried out through a pentahelical scheme, Regent Dadang said the Dayeuhkolot area still needed budget support from the Citarum River Basin Center (BBWS) and the West Java Province Water Resources Service (SDA).
