JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives Abdullah, encouraged the formation of a Joint Fact Finding Team (TGPF) to thoroughly investigate the case of the discovery of the skeletons of Muhammad Farhan Hamid and Reno Sastrawijaya at the ACC Building, Kwitang, Central Jakarta after the demonstration at the end of August 2025.

According to Abdullah, the existence of TGPF is important to uncover the mysteries and various alleged irregularities that arise in the public. This is because Kontras, which from the beginning accompanied the case of the disappearance of Farhan and Reno, also highlighted allegations of irregularities in the discovery of the skeleton.

Starting from the time difference between the forensic examination of the building on October 19 and the discovery of the skeleton on October 29, the police conclusion directly linked the skeleton to Farhan and Reno, to the fact that the police line had been removed and CCTV went out before the discovery took place.

"This is certainly a strategic question that must be answered with valid data evidence. For this reason, I propose the formation of the TGPF of the Farhan and Reno Frameworks," Abdullah said, Tuesday, November 11.

"However, it was preceded to communicate with the victim's family," he continued.

Abdullah assessed that the TGPF needs to be formed by involving various elements so that the investigation takes place objectively and thoroughly. "For example, TGPF consists of police, Komnas HAM, KontraS, Amnesty Indonesia, LPSK, forensic institutions are independent from within and outside the country, academics and the media," he said.

"Hopefully through this TGPF, the investigation process can take place transparently, professionally, and free of conflicts of interest," continued the member of the DPR commission in charge of legal affairs.

Abdullah also said that the formation of the TGPF had the right momentum, along with the birth of the Police Reform Acceleration Commission which had just been inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto. According to him, this joint team will be able to provide important input for the commission.

"I think the Police Reform Acceleration Commission led by Mr. Jimly Asshaddiqie will be open to the TGPF regarding its findings later," Abdullah said.

"The findings can be a strategic input for Pak Jimly's team in achieving the goals mandated by President Prabowo," he added.

Abdullah also emphasized that the formation of the TGPF was not a form of distrust of the Police, but a form of responsibility to maintain transparency and accountability in law enforcement.

"This case concerns the right to life of two citizens, and the state is obliged to explain the truth. Otherwise, the law will lose legitimacy and do not produce real justice," concluded the PKB legislator from the Central Java VI electoral district.
