Considered Looking For Political Assurance, Gerindra Pematangsiantar DPC Rejects Budie Arie To Join

JAKARTA - DPC Gerindra Pematangsiantar City, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), rejected the General Chair of Projo Budi Arie, who expressed his desire to join the party chaired by President Prabowo Subianto. The rejection was based on various considerations, one of which was considered seeking political asylum.

"Budi Arie's plan to join the Gerindra party is perceived by the public as a pragmatic step to keep his chances of remaining at the epicenter of Prabowo's power," said Gerindra Pematangsiantar DPC chairman Gusmiyadi in his statement, Friday, November 7.

Gusmiyadi assessed the joining of Budi Arie as a pragmatic step to protect himself from potential legal entanglement. In addition, Budi Arie is also considered to be joining because he wants to get an important position from Prabowo.

"The pragmatic step is read as a way to take cover from legal cases that have the potential to surround him and on the other hand, Budi Arie also hopes to still get an important position under President Prabowo's leadership," he said.

This member of the North Sumatra DPRD said that public trust in Prabowo could decrease because the General Chairperson of Gerindra was considered to be focusing on eradicating corruption.

Not to mention Budi Arie's claim about the Projo logo which will change the logo, until he denies that Projo stands for Pro Jokowi. According to Gusmiyadi, this is an uncivilized step in politics.

"On the other hand, Budi Arie's recent claim regarding the meaning of Projo's name and its connection with Jokowi's face logo is also considered an uncivilized step in playing political chess. Budie Arie's rebuttal that so far Projo does not stands for Pro Jokowi but means that the people and the country are zig zag's inappropriate steps," he said.

Therefore, Gusmiyadi considered that Budi Arie joined Gerindra only to seek political asylum. Including maintaining the opportunity to get a position under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto.

"The public considers Budi Arie to look for safety in seeking political asylum and maintaining the opportunity to gain power during Prabowo's leadership as President," he concluded.

Previously reported, Budi Arie had submitted a request for permission to volunteers to step into the practical world of politics through the Gerindra Party. He made this statement at the Projo Congress III which took place in South Jakarta, in front of a number of figures including the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

"Please allow me, if one day I party, Projo's friends can understand it. Don't ask what the party is for. For what reason? I may be the only person asked by the President directly at a forum," said Budi Arie when giving a speech at the Projo Congress III at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, South Jakarta, Saturday, November 1.

He also explained the reason for choosing a party that is now led by President Prabowo Subianto, namely because he sees the programs that Prabowo carries are considered to provide great benefits to the nation.
