Police Hold Cases Of Alleged False Diplomas Of Jokowi

JAKARTA - The case of alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), has resumed. The police said that investigators were currently conducting an assessment before proceeding to the stage of the case title with the prosecutor.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto confirmed the development.

"Currently, the assessment is underway and the case is continued," said Budi, Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Even so, Budi was reluctant to speculate further about the possibility of determining the suspect after the assessment process and the case title was completed.

"We'll wait, please be patient," he said.

Previously, investigators in the alleged fake diploma case of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) were still in the process at the Sub-Directorate of State Security (Kamneg) of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya. Until now, investigators have examined dozens of witnesses and a number of experts to clarify the case.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, said that a total of 117 witnesses and 4 reporters had been questioned, while out of 11 were reported, one of them had not been examined, namely Egi Sujana (ES).

Budi emphasized that so far there have been no obstacles in the investigation process. According to him, the police continue to coordinate with the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office to ensure that every stage goes according to procedures.

"Investigators coordinated with the Prosecutor from the start, including through SPDP delivery and routine communication. In the near future, a case will be held," he said.
