South Kalimantan Police Seize 44.5 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine-24,928 Ecstasy Pills From The Gembong Fredy Pratama Network

The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Kalimantan Regional Police confiscated 44,532.65 grams or 44.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 24,928 ecstasy pills from a network affiliated with international narcotics kingpin Fredy Pratama.

"We have arrested three suspects with the initials SB, WC and ED. Those who brought narcotics from outside South Kalimantan entered Banjarmasin through West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan," said Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police Commissioner Baktiar Joko Mujiono when releasing the disclosure of the case in Banjarmasin, Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.

The arrests of the three suspects were carried out by Sub-Directorate 2 and Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police.

The first disclosure was made by a team led by the Head of Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police, Police Commissioner Oliestha Ageng Wicaksana, by arresting two suspects with the initials SB and WC on Jalan Trans Kalimantan, Anjir Pasar District, Barito Kuala Regency, on October 31, 2025.

From the hands of SB and WC, 27,042.68 grams of methamphetamine or 27 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were secured and 24,928 ecstasy pills were transported by car.

Then the second disclosure was by the leadership team of the Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Ade Harri Sistiawan by arresting the suspect with the initials ED on Jalan Pramuka, Banjarmasin City, on November 1, 2025. From the arrest of ED, 17,489.97 grams of crystal methamphetamine or 17.4 kilograms were confiscated.

The three perpetrators came from outside the region, namely Lampung, Bojonegoro (East Java), and Pekanbaru (Riau). They were ordered by the Fredy Pratama network to supply drugs to the Kalimantan region.

To account for their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum threat of death penalty or life imprisonment.

Baktiar revealed that the total evidence of 44.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 24,928 pills of confiscated ecstasy, if it was deposited, reached Rp. 91.7 billion. If it is assumed that the price of methamphetamine per gram is Rp. 1.5 million and the price of ecstasy is Rp. 1 million per item.

Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Police Commissioner Adam Erwindi, expressed his gratitude to the people who continue to contribute to providing information to the police regarding drug trafficking.
