JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Minister of PANRB) Rini Widyantini ensures equal distribution of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) to remote areas which will later be regulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpes) regarding the governance of the Free Nutrition Eating Program (MBG).

"The ministry of PAN RB certainly supports its governance, and that is one of the efforts to (reach) remote areas," said Rini as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 4.

He emphasized that the governance of MBG will be carried out carefully through a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) which will be socialized in the near future.

"Of course, the Ministry of PAN RB to ensure governance can be carried out carefully, because to implement the MBG there are two things (important)," he said.

He explained, two important things in MBG governance that need attention are the quality of MBG giving and how to support the ecosystem from ministries and institutions.

"So today we prepare the Presidential Decree on governance, how is the ecosystem for MBG support, then regulations related to the MBG organization will also be issued," he said.

According to him, later a Presidential Decree (Keppres) will also be announced in which it regulates the MBG Program coordination team.

"That's Mrs. Nanik S. Deyang's daily chairman (Deputy Head of BGN for Investigation and Communication). Later Mrs. Nanik and her deputy chairman will also be deputies at the Coordinating Minister for Food," said Rini.

The Ministry of PANRB plays a role in structuring the governance and institutions of the UPT National Nutrition Fulfillment Service Office (KPPG) and SPPG as well as fulfilling the human resources (HR) involved.

In addition, the Ministry of PANRB also encourages the acceleration of digital transformation and the integration of digital services to support the effectiveness of the MBG program.

The draft Presidential Decree on Governance of the Implementation of the MBG Program generally regulates a series of governance of the MBG program so that the program can run effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.

The scope of regulation includes five aspects, namely planning; budget; performance management and ASN; supervision and control; and procurement of goods/services.

Not only that, the government has also regulated the implementation of MBG through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 28 of 2025 concerning the Establishment of a Coordination Team for the Implementation of Free Nutrition Food Programs.

This coordination team consisting of synergies of 13 related ministries/agencies (K/L) is tasked with supporting the implementation of MBG through synchronization, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and control of the implementation of one of these priority programs.
