Train Passengers Reach 468 Million Per Year, Prabowo Asks KAI To Add Carriages

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto instructed PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) President Director Bobby Rasyidin to immediately improve the comfort of stations to add carriages, following the number of passengers reaching hundreds of millions per year.

In a meeting between the Head of State and Bobby Rasyidin at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, the direction of mass transportation development was discussed, especially national rail services.

"President Prabowo pays special attention to mass transportation, especially trains, as a symbol of the progress and civilization of a country," said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 3.

With the number of train users reaching around 486 million passengers every year, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of improving better, safer, and humane service for the community.
