JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said integrity must be instilled from an early age. This is because corrupt behavior does not just appear.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Task Force for the Directorate of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign of the KPK, Medio Venda, in the activity of Education of Excitement through Watching Movies and Explore Museums: Youth/Cudiers In Action Against Corruption in collaboration with the Bank Mandiri Museum. Hundreds of students of the country's first high school (SMPN).

"Corrupt behavior does not appear suddenly, but from the habit of ignoring small things, such as cheating, not wearing helmets to underestimate the rules. You are in charge of breaking the bad chain," Medio said in a written statement from the KPK, Saturday, November 1.

In this activity, the KPK screened short films that won the Anti-Corruption Film Festival (ACFFest) such as Muhammad Azhar's Pirates of Tens of Thousands (Riau), Solemates by Muhammad Farell Cesario (Banten), and Loma by Della Kartika. The three of them brought strong messages about honesty, responsibility, and courage to reject fraud.

Next year, the KPK will reopen student film competitions. Who knows, your work can appear in the next ACFFest," continued Medio.

Meanwhile, Puri Ranti Minasti as Vice President of Bank Mandiri appreciated the collaboration with the KPK. He said that film screening activities were a smart and relevant way to convey anti-corruption messages to the younger generation.

"Films that are shown are light and easy to understand, but still contain strong moral messages about doing good every day. So, anti-corruption messages are easier for the public to accept," he concluded.
