JAKARTA - Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin is committed to creating security stability in the region.
This was done by Sjafrie by attending the 19th ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting (ADMM) in Malaysia, Friday, October 31.
In a statement on his official Instagram account, the Minister of Defense said this strategic forum could strengthen solidarity between countries in the region, build trust, and formulate collective steps to face regional security challenges.
This is in line with Indonesia's firm stance on commitment to create regional defense stability and independence.
"In line with the principle of total defense and the vision of ASEAN unity for security and prosperity," said Sjfrie as quoted by ANTARA.
With its presence in the forum, Sjafrie hopes that the Asean state community can collaborate with each other in the defense sector to create security stability between countries.

During the meeting, Malaysian Defense Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said digital threats in today's era were as dangerous as conflicts in maritime areas.
"The threat to our network and system may not be visible, but the impact could be as serious as the threat to our maritime zone," Khaled said.
Therefore, he assessed that ADMM must go beyond traditional military cooperation and prioritize a multidimensional security approach.
"Peace at sea, in the digital realm, and in cyberspace is not just the interests of ASEAN, this is a global responsibility," he stressed.
