Jakarta Is Raining This Afternoon, 27 RTs In South Jakarta Flood Up To 1 Meter

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 27 RTs in South Jakarta were flooded up to 1 meter due to rains in the DKI Jakarta area this afternoon.

"The latest information on inundation is until 17.00 WIB, BPBD noted that currently inundation has occurred in 27 RTs," said Head of DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohamad Yohan in his statement, Thursday, October 30.

In detail, the flood submerged 1 RT in West Cilandak Village with water levels reaching 80 centimeters, 1 RT in Bangka Village reached 110 centimeters, and 25 RTs in Petogogan Village up to 30 centimeters.

"The cause is high rainfall and the overflow of Krukut and Mampang rivers," said Yohan.

The rain that hit also caused an increase in the Alert Sunter/Siaga 3 Post at 16.00 WIB and the Alert/Alert Pesanggrahan Post/Alert 3 at 17.00 WIB.

Currently, BPBD DKI Jakarta is deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that water lines function properly together with local lurah and sub-district heads and prepare basic needs for survivors.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," concluded Yohan.
