MKD Will Hold Trial For Alleged Ethical Violations Sahroni Etik Et Al

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) stated that it would hold a trial for alleged ethical violations of non-active council members.

Among them are members of the DPR NasDem, Sahroni and Nafa Urbach factions, members of the DPR from the PAN faction Eko Hendro Purnomo alias Eko Patrio and Surya Uya Kuya, and Deputy Speaker of the DPR from the Golkar faction, Adies Kadir.

"Agreeing with further handling of several members of the Indonesian House of Representatives with inactive status," said Chairman of the MKD DPR RI Nazaruddin Dek Gam, in his statement, Thursday, October 30.

Dek Gam explained that the cases of the inactive council members were registered with Number 39/PP/IX/2025, 41/PP/IX/2025, 42/PP/IX/2025, 44/PP/IX/2025, and 39/PP/IX/2025. Dek HAM said the case met the requirements to be followed up.

"Responding to the provisions of the MKD Certificate," said Dek Gam.

Dek Gam said the decision to hold a trial for the case was taken in an internal meeting held on Wednesday, October 29.

He revealed that the meeting discussed the progress of the complaint that was submitted to the MKD and an official letter from the party concerned, thus requiring follow-up.

"The meeting is closed with the affirmation that the MKD will continue to carry out its constitutional duties," said Dek Gam.

In addition, the MKD also decided that Gerindra Party politician, Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, or Sara remained a member of the DPR for the period 2024-2029.

"After considering legal aspects, MKD procedures, as well as the decision of the Gerindra Party Honorary Council, MKD decided that Sister Rahayu Saraswati remains a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the period 2024-2029," reads a written statement from the DPR MKD.
