The reporting of the alleged corruption case was carried out by a party that declined to be named. According to the legal representative of this party, Gufroni, reporting was done on May 7, 2020.
Gufroni, who is the Chairman of Litigation Division of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Legal Aid Institute (LBH PP Muhammadiyah), said that his client submitted the report of alleged corruption in writing to the KPK by attaching written evidence and a list of witnesses who knew about the incident.
In the report of alleged corruption, it is mentioned the beginning of alleged corruption occurred in May 2019 when the rector of UN Syarif Hidayatullah Amany Lubis formed the Student Dormitory Development Committee UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in accordance with Rector Decree No. 475 dated May 13, 2019.
At that time, the committee immediately moved and raised funds to the state domain by sending letters and proposals to ministries, SOEs, and state institutions. From the results of the search, the funds were raised billions of rupiah which was then used to carry out the construction of student dormitories.
It's just that the student dormitory was never built. The campus actually built student dormitories for certain extra organizations that are not part of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
