Reveals The Shooting Case Of A Young Lawyer In Tanah Abang, Police Check CCTV

Central Jakarta Metro Police have collected evidence, witness statements and CCTV cameras to determine the incident of the beating and the shooting of a young lawyer on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, Tanah Abang.

"We received reports of alleged beatings and mistreatment with the victim, a man with the initials WA. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the upper right back," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Tuesday, October 28.

Susatyo said officers were still collecting evidence and checking CCTV footage around the location to identify the perpetrators and find out the motive behind the violence.

"The investigation is still ongoing. We are currently identifying the perpetrators and investigating whether this case is related to personal conflict or other motives," he said.

The police chief emphasized that his staff would take firm action against perpetrators of violence and continue to maintain security in Central Jakarta.

"We urge the public to remain calm and not speculate. Fully entrust the investigation process to the police. We will convey every development openly," he said.

The beating and shooting took place at around 07.28 WIB, officers immediately took quick steps by sending a team to check the crime scene (TKP).

According to him, the victim, a man with the initials WA (34) suffered a gunshot wound to the upper right back and is currently undergoing treatment at the Kramatjati Police Hospital.

He stated that when the team arrived at the location at around 09.47 WIB, the situation was conducive and the victim had been evacuated for medical treatment.

"During the initial examination, no witness was able to provide clear information regarding the chronology and identity of the perpetrator. Currently, we are still investigating and processing the TKP further," he said.
