Wife Terrorized 'Your Child Wants To Be Taken Hostage' Because Of Social Media Content, Gus Yazid Reports To Polda Metro

JAKARTA - Ulama and caretaker of the Ar-Rahman Basyaiban Islamic Boarding School, Ahmad Yazid Basyaiban or Gus Yazid, reported cases of suspected terror and threats that befell his wife with the initials MSN to the Polda Metro Jaya.

The report has been received by the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) Polda Metro Jaya with the number LP/B/7484/X/2025/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, dated Thursday, October 23.

"Investigators only asked about the numbers that terrorized my wife, and I have conveyed everything," said Gus Yazid in his statement in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, October 24.

The series of terrors caused his wife and family to experience psychological pressure. "My wife has been consulted with a psychiatrist. The investigator said, while don't use social media so that it doesn't cause trauma," he said.

Gus Yazid suspected that the terror was related to social media content that had been created by his wife. In the police report, it was stated that the threat was received via WhatsApp (WA) message from an unknown number on Saturday (18/10).

Messages containing these threats include reading, "how is your husband?" and "Your child wants to be held hostage."

Feeling that his family's safety was threatened, MSN then made an official report to the Polda Metro Jaya to be followed up by the police.
