JAKARTA - A citizen of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is lucky to be the first winner of the UAE 100 million dirham prize (Rp452,879,547,100) in the country's national lottery.

Previously, no player had managed to choose the seven winning numbers needed to secure the luck that changed his life since the UAE Lottery was launched in December.

The long wait has now ended, with attention focused on the identity of ticket holders who make history.

The mysterious player managed to overcome a very high chance of winning, namely 8,835,372 to 1, to choose the seven winning numbers on Saturday night last week.

The UAE Lottery announced this historic moment on social media after the latest two-weekly Lucky Day draw, as reported by The National 19 October.

The lottery organizers have not disclosed further details about ticket holders and it is not yet clear whether the winner will claim the prize completely or share it.

"The main Dh100 million prize has been won. Lucky Day's draw tonight crowned our first winner worth Dh100 million. Congratulations to the winner of the main prize and to all the other winners," UAE Lottery's official account tweeted on social media X.

The lottery draw 'Lucky Day' follows the calendar format, in which players are asked to choose six points from 31 figures available in the 'day' section of the online lottery card and one point from 12 points in the 'month' section. Players must register on the official website to participate. There are 43 numbers to choose from.

The winner figures for the main prize of 100 million UAE dirhams are 7, 10, 11, 18, 25, and 29, with the number of months being 11.

The national lottery draw is held every second Saturday and is broadcast live at 20.30 on the UAE Lottery YouTube channel. Participants must live in the UAE and be at least 18 years old. Several draws with independent prizes allow players to participate if based abroad.

It is known, this official draw is the result of the government's great efforts to overhaul the UAE commercial gambling sector.

The General Commercial Game Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) was founded in September 2023 to form a "leading regulatory shortage in the world for national lottery and commercial games".

Independent lottery operators were ordered to stop their activities in January last year, and GCGRA granted a national literate license in July to Game LLC under the auspices of UAE Lottery.
