Based on the results of the examination by the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim PPA Unit, the suspect JPT alias Ance (26) burned his wife drunk.

"At the time of the incident the perpetrator was drunk, drinking wine," said East Jakarta Metro Police Head of PPA, AKP Sri Yatmini when confirmed, Thursday, October 23, 2025.

The perpetrator burned his wife with the initials CAN (24) who was jealous after hearing that the woman he loved was having an affair with another man.

Moreover, the victim often helped the perpetrator when he was a fugitive from the police for the case of destroying the porridge cart. The victim helped hide the perpetrator.

"The victim had helped the suspect during the DPO. The victim had hidden her husband when he was a DPO," he said.

In addition, when arrested in the Bekasi area, West Java, the perpetrator also admitted that he had consumed narcotics.

"The person concerned admitted that he had used (narcotics). But when he had a negative urine check," he said.

Previously, it was reported that JPT alias Ance (26), a suspect in the burning of his wife, who was a fugitive, was arrested by the police at a house in the Bekasi area, West Java.

Ironically, when arrested by the police, the suspect immediately cried. The suspect cried because he mourned his mistake if he burned his wife.

The victim of the arson with the initials CAN (24) is still lying under treatment at the RSCM. The victim suffered burns all over his body.
