10 Firearms Of The Missing Service Since 2017, NTT Police Officer Arrested

East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police officers arrested a police officer with the initials S who allegedly lent two firearms belonging to the NTT Police to a resident in Bali.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Pol. Henry Novika Chandra, told reporters in Kupang, Wednesday, that the perpetrator had been detained for further legal proceedings. "The legal process against the person concerned will continue," Henry said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 23.

Henry said a number of active firearms belonging to the NTT Police were reported missing.

This was discovered after the NTT Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko requested that all members who have weapons be brought under control.

After checking, it turned out that there were weapons that were missing, so a team or task force was immediately formed to find out the whereabouts of a number of firearms.

Hendry did not specify the type of weapon that was missing.

There are about four police officers at the NTT Regional Police who are suspected of selling the 10 weapons, but do not yet know the motive.

Henry said two firearms sold by S were found in Bali. This was discovered when identified by the Bali Police.

This was then developed by the NTT Regional Police Bidpropam until finally a number of other weapons were found in the NTT Regional Police.

"A number of weapons were lost in 2017 and only revealed in October 2025," he said.

Meanwhile, Karo Logistics of the NTT Police, Kombes Aldian Manurung, said that the 10 weapons that had been lost had been found and had been secured.

Aldianan added that the weapon was lent to an Indonesian citizen (WNI) in Bali.
