West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said that the Bank Indonesia he visited explained that no West Java APBD had deposited IDR 4.1 trillion in deposits in the West Java Provincial Government treasury.
"Earlier, it was from the Ministry of Home Affairs. We have finished receiving an explanation from Bank Indonesia. Bank Indonesia is a central bank, so there should be no wrong questions or statements. So, there is no money of IDR 4.1 trillion that deposits," said Dedi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 22.
From Bank Indonesia's explanation, said Dedi, it turns out that the central bank recorded funds in the regional treasury amounting to Rp3.8 trillion in the form of demand deposits that entered on September 30, 2025.
Then it was also recorded that there were other funds that became deposits for the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) which were managed independently outside the West Java Provincial Government cash.
"What is there is financial reporting as of September 30, there are funds stored in the regional treasury in the form of a giro of Rp3.8 trillion. The rest is BLUD deposits outside the regional treasury which are under the authority of each BLUD," he said.
Rp3.8 trillion, which was recorded on September 30, said Dedi, is currently confirmed to have been used to finance a number of development projects, official travel to operational costs.
"This Rp3.8 trillion money, today it has been used to pay for projects, employee salaries, business travel expenditures, electricity, water, and outsourcing employees," he said.
From BI's explanation, Dedi said he could confirm allegations that the West Java Provincial Government was one of the areas that deposited funds in the form of deposits, broken.
"There is no deposit or deposit of provincial government money stored in deposits to take interest. Nothing," he said.

When asked why the September 30 data was still presented in the explanation of the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa, at the Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs, on Monday (20/10), Dedi did not answer.
"That's how it is," he said.
However, his party ensures that the West Java Provincial Government's regional treasury position continues to move according to regional spending needs, and the amount fluctuates per day.
"What is stated is that the money in the regional treasury today was IDR 2.5 trillion, yesterday IDR 2.3 trillion, previously IDR 2.4 trillion, that's what's true," he said.
Regarding the threat of removing officials who informed false data about regional fiscals, Dedi said that after receiving BI's explanation, he said he felt uncomfortable.
"So I feel bad. Because I wanted to have a regional secretary vacancy, now I don't have it," he said jokingly.
Previously, Dedi Mulyadi rejected the statement by the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, regarding 15 regions that kept funds (not) in banks, including West Java, in a regional inflation meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, Monday (20/10).
The West Java Provincial Government is said to have kept deposits of IDR 4.17 trillion. Apart from West Java, Purbaya also said that the Jakarta Provincial Government kept deposits of IDR 14.683 trillion and the East Java Provincial Government IDR 6.8 trillion.
Purbaya revealed the data from Bank Indonesia which revealed funds deposited in regional cash accounts reached Rp233 trillion, including regency government deposits (Pemkab) of Rp134.2 trillion, provincial government deposits (pemprov) of Rp60.2 trillion and city government (Pemkot) of Rp39.5 trillion.
