AFP reports that a number of complexes in remote online scam businesses have grown rapidly along Myanmar's borders. The criminal business targets citizens outside Myanmar with the mode of love relations and financial fraud.

Myanmar's border was loose in terms of security after a civil war triggered by a coup in 2021 erupted in the country.

The Myanmar military announced this week that it had raided KK Park, one of Myanmar's famous scam online businesses and confiscated 30 Starlink satellite internet terminals.
